After the formation of Uttarakhand in the year 2000, the Amangarh forest range connected with Jim Corbett National Park became a part of Bijnor district uttrapardesh, after 10 years the Yogi Adityanath government cleared this proposal through cabinet by circulation. Conservation of tigers in the forest and surrounding areas, biodiversity and eco-tourism will get a boost. Amangarh Tiger Reserve (ATR), currently home to 27 tigers and hundreds of herbivores, opened for tourism for the first time from 15th November.Attracts visitors who come to enjoy its diverse flora and fauna. The park is also famous for its jungle safaris, which provide visitors with an opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the park and observe wildlife in their natural habitat.

How To reach Amangarh tiger reserve
By road
To reach Amangarh from Delhi, you can take the road route which is approximately 250 km. Here are the directions: Start your journey from Delhi and head towards Meerut. From Meerut, continue on the road towards Bijnor. Upon reaching Bijnor, proceed towards Dhampur. From Dhampur, follow the route that leads to Afjalgahr. Finally, follow the road signs to reach Amangarh. It's advisable to use a map to ensure you stay on the correct route and to check for any updates or alternate routes based on current road conditions.
By Air
The nearest airports to Amangarh are Dehradun Airport and Lucknow Airport. Both airports have direct flights connecting to major cities across India. Travelers can choose to fly to either Dehradun or Lucknow and then continue their journey to Amangarh by road. From Dehradun or Lucknow, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Amangarh, which is approximately a few hours' drive away.
